The Real Housewives of Miami is set to debut Feb. 22, 2011 on Bravo, and as with the other series in the franchise, it features a cast of women with high-profile careers and plenty of potential for drama in their personal lives. They also come from a variety of ethnic backgrounds that reflect the makeup of Miami itself.
Larsa Pippen
The wife of former Chicago Bulls star Scottie Pippen is being promoted as the star of Miami, receiving prominent mention in the cast announcement stories from People and CNN. Bravo.com's bio describes her as a “snarky Lebanese beauty”, though the advance review in Us Weekly calls her “nice” and suggests she’s the most drama-free cast member.
She married Scottie Pippen in 1997, and the couple have four children together. Interestingly, an online profile from 2009 states that “Larsa has always stayed out of the public and news”, preferring to let her husband be the star of the family. Unlike some of her fellow cast members, her focus is on raising her children rather than on a lucrative career.
