Osama bin Laden was killed during a Special Forces operation which evolved into a fire fight that ended his life. Bin Laden had been hiding in a mansion north of Islamabad in Pakistan.

According to the Daily Mail, bin Laden was given the chance to surrender but refused; these actions caused not only his own death, but the deaths of three of his men, including his own son and a woman.

Special Forces Navy SEALs were tipped off about the hideout last August after gathering enough evidence. President Obama ordered the raid and the death of bin Laden.
